FortunaVirtu Limited ("we", "us") is committed to protecting personal data in accordance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) of Hong Kong (the "PDPO"), including the six Data Protection Principles in Schedule 1 to the PDPO. This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website (fortuna-virtu.com), why, and your rights. Services on other sites we operate (such as lighthouse.fortuna-virtu.com) publish their own privacy statements where their data practices differ.

1. What we collect

Contact form and email: your name (or how you wish to be addressed), email address, and the content of your message.
Technical data: standard server and security logs (IP address, browser information) processed by our hosting and security provider to operate and protect the Site.

We do not currently use analytics or advertising trackers on this Site.

2. Purposes of collection

We collect and use personal data only for:

responding to your enquiries and corresponding with you;
providing and administering our services;
operating, securing and improving the Site (including spam and abuse prevention);
complying with legal obligations.

We will not use your personal data for a new purpose without your consent, and we do not use personal data for direct marketing without your consent as required by Part 6A of the PDPO.

3. Disclosure and processors

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf:

Cloudflare — website hosting, security, bot protection (Turnstile) and temporary storage of form submissions pending email verification;
Resend — delivery of form submissions to our mailbox;
Zoho — our email mailbox provider.

These providers may process data on servers located outside Hong Kong. Where personal data is transferred outside Hong Kong, we take steps to ensure it receives a level of protection comparable to that under the PDPO.

4. Retention

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes above, and then delete it, unless a longer period is required by law. Form submissions awaiting email verification expire automatically within 24 hours; verified submissions are removed from temporary storage within 7 days of delivery to our mailbox.

5. Security

We take reasonably practicable steps to protect personal data against unauthorised or accidental access, processing or loss, including transport encryption (HTTPS) and access controls.

6. Cookies

The Site itself does not set marketing cookies. Our security provider (Cloudflare, including the Turnstile verification on our contact form) may set strictly necessary cookies to protect the Site.

7. Your rights

Under the PDPO you may request access to, and correction of, personal data we hold about you. Requests can be submitted via our contact form; we acknowledge and reply within three business days of receipt. We may charge a reasonable fee for processing a data access request as permitted by the PDPO.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time; the current version is always published on this page.
